Information for the enrollment in the first study year

THE ENROLLMENT TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES OF STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE EU/EEA/CH IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019

The enrollment in the first study year

ALL THE ADMITTED CANDIDATES HAVE RECEIVED THE CERTIFICATE OF VALIDATION/RECOGNITION OF THEIR STUDIES FROM THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION (OBLIGATORY DOCUMENT FOR ENROLLMENT).

The admitted candidates who haven’t received these certificates yet have been informed by e-mail about the additional documents they have to provide.

In order to register as first-year students, admitted candidates who have paid the tuition fee in the period stipulated in the Admission Requirements have to come PERSONALLY to the International Department, during the established office hours: between 10 a. m. – 1 p. m., Monday – Friday, during 17 September 2018 - 17 October 2018.

The admitted candidates who do not finalize their first-year enrollment within the established deadline, lose both their place and the right to register for the academic year 2018 - 2019.

Candidates who fail to submit their ORIGINAL  high-school/equivalent diploma within the deadline established for the enrollment of first-year students lose both their place and the right to register for the academic year 2018 - 2019.

The registration and enrollment of students belonging to higher study years (II-V/VI) is carried out by the faculty  secretary.

LANGUAGE TESTS

The list of candidates scheduled for the language test will be posted on our website on 10 September 2018.

In order to be allowed to participate in the language test, candidates have to pay the fee of 50 euros in the same account where they pay the tuition fee.

PAYMENT OF THE TUITION FEE

The admitted candidates have to pay the tuition fee, IN FULL, in the period 3 – 14 September 2018.

The proof of payment of the tuition fee (copy of the bank receipt/money order) will be sent by e-mail to admission@umft.ro .

Candidates who fail to pay their tuition fee within the established deadline lose their place; the vacant place will be reassigned to the rejected candidates who have paid the confirmation fee within the deadline established in the Admission Requirements.

The payment of the tuition fee for the admitted candidates is made by bank transfer to the following account:

The bank receipt has to contain the following information: „tuition fee –the candidate’s full name, faculty”.

SCHEDULE OF the registration

• 12.03.2018 – 13.07.2018 – filling-in and submitting the online registration form available at admission.umft.org, without exceeding the deadline for registration; the registration of the candidates; candidates submit their files to the International Office; the files are checked and validated by the International Office (if they are complete);
• 16.07.2018 – 18.07.2018 – assessment of the files by the admission committee based on the own selection criteria established by the university;
• 18.07.2018 – the provisional results for all study programs are published on the website www.umft.ro and admission.umft.org  and at the International Office;
• 19.07.2018 – failed candidates may submit appeals to the Central admission committee; the appeals have to be submitted by e-mail to the address relint@umft.ro until 12 a. m. (local Romanian time);
• 20.07.2018 – the Central admission committee will re-analyze the appeals of the candidates who have submitted an appeal and will make a decision; after the appeals, the PROVISIONAL results of the selection will be posted at the International Department and on the website of the university www.umft.ro ;
• 19.07.2018 – 23.07.2018 – The first round of confirmations: The candidates who have been provisionally ADMITTED have to confirm their place by e-mail to admission@umft.ro. The confirmation of the place must be accompanied by the proof (scanned copy) of a wire transfer for the sum of 200 Euro (confirmation fee – NON REFUNDABLE);
• 24.07.2018 – the financial department checks the payment of the confirmation fee ;
• 25.07.2018. – the provisional results after the first round of confirmations will be posted on the web site of the university;
• 25.07.2018 - 26.07. 2018  - the second round of confirmations (candidates who have been initially rejected) sent by e-mail to admission@umft.ro ;
• 27. 07.2018 – posting on the website the provisional results after the second round of confirmations;
• 03–14.09.2018 – payment of the tuition fee (candidates have to pay the entire tuition fee in a single installment);
• 17.09.2018-09.10.2018 – the candidates will have to take a language test; the beginning of the provisional enrollment period for first-year students. The enrollment of the candidates is conditioned by having received the validation of their high-school diploma by the Romanian Ministry of National Education, by having passed the language test and by the payment of the tuition fee in full. THE TUITION FEE HAS TO BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO REGISTRATION AND IT CANNOT BE PAID IN INSTALLMENTS;
• 17.10.2018 – the deadline for the enrollment of first-year students.

III. 1. The above mentioned candidates may apply for the study program taught in English/French, according to the number of available places.

The admitted candidates will be selected according to the selection criteria established by the university (Annex 4), according to the number of available places approved for each study program.
