Changing your field of study

1. An international student who has been granted, or renewed, a student residence permit in Romania may change his/her field of study or vocational training, according to Romanian law, provided the total length of the stay foreseen for the initial studies is not exceeded.
2. If the total length of the stay foreseen for the initial studies is exceeded as a consequence of the change of the study or vocational training field, the student has to apply for a new long-term student permit.
